What is Autism?

Autism, often referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a multifaceted neurological condition that affects individuals' social interactions, communication, and behavior. It is essential to recognize that autism is not a one-size-fits-all experience; rather, it spans a broad spectrum with unique characteristics and strengths. People on the autism spectrum may exhibit varying levels of sensitivity to sensory stimuli, have different communication preferences, and embrace distinct ways of processing information. Embracing neurodiversity, we acknowledge that autism is an inherent aspect of human diversity, contributing to the rich tapestry of our society. By fostering understanding, acceptance, and support, we can create an inclusive world that celebrates the talents and perspectives of all individuals, regardless of their neurological differences.
